31. Mai – 2. Juni 2026 (Bartenieff Fundamentals) und 4. Juni – 6. Juni 2026 (Laban Movement Studies)
The Bartenieff Fundamentals give an insight to early – childhood developmental processes. They provide a wide range of approach for observation, re-patterning and creation of movement. In led exercises (“Basic-six”) and improvisational tasks we find guidance for developing embodied knowledge.
In classes of Laban Movement Studies we are exploring and observing movement within the categories of Body, Effort, Space, Shape, Phrasing and Relationship. Movement is complex. It can be analysed within the structured system of Laban/ Bartenieff Movement Studies by approaching it through observation, perception, sensation and reflection. We will experience our movement preferences and unknown territory of our moving body playfully. We will learn to understand how movement is composed.

It is possible to register for one course only, as well as you are welcome to participate in both courses from 31.05. – 06.06. with a free day on 03.06.2026, a possible day for a trip to the City of Turku.
